Degussa Catalysts provides continuous process catalysts (CPC) for the industrial chemicals and intermediates industry. We offer fixed and fluidised bed catalysts as standard proprietary products and custom design catalysts. Without polyolefins like polyethylene (PE) and polypro-pylene (PP), a lot of things in our daily life would be inconceivable. PE and PP show up in many areas, for example, in the automotive industry for production of bumpers or in the manufacture of plastic shopping bags. As one of the world leaders in catalysis, we utilise all of our know-how for research and development of new materials. After all, we want to offer our customers the best-quality components possible so that particularly effective and advanced catalysts can be developed for manufacturing PE and PP. At our production sites in Germany and the USA, we combine our years of experience in the special area of olefin polymerisation catalysts (OPC). Magnesium ethoxide (MGE), a highly active support material for Ziegler-Natta catalysts, silane donors used as additives for increasing the isotacticity in PP catalysts, and AEROCAT®, a new silica support material for metallocenes, Ziegler-Natta and Phillips catalysts.
