Neville Chemical Company is a manufacturer of synthetic hydrocarbon resins and coumarone-indene resins. Established in 1925, Neville Chemical Company is privately owned with the Corporate Headquarters and main manufacturing facility located on Neville Island. The Island is located in the Ohio River, six miles west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The Research and Development Department is responsible for technical services to customers, new product development and technical service to the Manufacturing Department. A major emphasis is technical services for Neville's customers. Neville's technical service group strives to develop a close working relationship with its customers by helping them achieve optimum applications performance with Neville's products and provide assistance in solving technical problems. Customer technical service is one of Neville's strengths.

R & D also develops new products for customers and markets Neville presently serve in addition to new opportunities. New product development initiatives center on projects imparting superior performance in adhesives, inks, rubber and coatings applications. A new product line of resins targeted for urethane and epoxy resins is being developed, which are light in color and have hydroxyl or acid functionality.

When the Manufacturing Department experiences difficulty, the R & D Department supplies technical service to assist in the situation. R & D technical service to manufacturing includes raw material qualification, feed blend qualification and assisting in process improvement and problem solving.

Neville operates manufacturing facilities in the United States and Europe. The Neville Island plant is located on the Ohio River, six miles west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here, Neville makes and markets petroleum based hydrocarbon resins, coumarone-indene resins, modified hydrocarbon resins, non-staining antioxidants and plasticizers. Neville Chemical Europe in Uithoorn, Holland, produces coumarone-indene resins, petroleum hydrocarbon resins and modified hydrocarbon resins for distribution throughout Europe and the Near East.

Neville's corporate goal in these markets is clear: to become the premiere source of hydrocarbon resins and solutions. In the process, we want to extend the principles of responsible chemistry to our customers and to their customers.
